A civic bridge for a nation in crisis
Zimbabwe faces a grave political and socio-economic crisis marked by entrenched corruption, the erosion of democratic institutions and the politicisation of the state. The Zimbabwe Transitional Forum (ZTF) was established as an advocacy community group to facilitate civic engagement, stakeholder collaboration and democratic renewal.
We are a non-profit, non-partisan advocacy body. We are a civic convener, not a political competitor. We work to bridge political actors, civil society and the international community, with members in Zimbabwe and wherever Zimbabweans live.

How the Forum is run
Decisions are democratic, transparent and participatory. Major decisions require a quorum and, where appropriate, a supermajority.

The supreme governing body. It gives strategic direction and oversight, manages finances and ensures the Forum stays true to its mandate.

Members
Every department and officer is accountable to the membership. Members may propose agenda items, take part in debates and hold leadership accountable.
Accountable by design
The Forum is a registered non-profit entity, operating in accordance with applicable laws in South Africa and in the other jurisdictions where it is present. It is funded by membership fees, donations, grants and community fundraising.
- Annual reports and audited financial statements
- Regular general meetings for member oversight
- Constitutional amendments require a two-thirds majority of voting members, with 30 days' notice
- On dissolution, remaining assets go to organisations with similar objectives
A living document
Our Constitution is designed to guide Zimbabwe's transition to a democratic, accountable and inclusive future. It is interpreted in the spirit of national renewal, democratic innovation and the empowerment of all Zimbabweans.
